Got a baby or are you expecting one? Then you're going to want to make your blinds as safe as possible and luckily, Window Coverings is giving away as many as 6 different retrofit window coverings.
Once you click over to the Window Coverings site, all you need to do is click on "order free retrofit kits" from the menu at the top of the page. You will then be taken to FulltimeInnovations.com, which will allow you to order anywhere from one to six retrofit window coverings, depending on which ones you need.
Baby proofing is no joke. My little one is nearly nine months old and the time has definitely come for me to baby proof. Speaking of which, not too long ago, I wrote about a free safety latch starter kit from P&G and if you haven't submitted your information yet, then make sure to do it now as well. It comes with 2 cupboard handle locks and 2 cupboard latches.
I have to admit that I didn't fuss over the different styles of window coverings too much and just went ahead and ordered all of them because I figure that I could most likely either use them in the future or at least give them away to friends and family.
Essentially, you can choose between window coverings for:
- bottom-up top-down styles (with a cord joiner device)
- roman shade
- roll-up type shades or roller blinds
- miniblinds, pleated shaded or horizontal blinds purchases before 1995
- miniblinds, pleated shaded or horizontal blinds purchases after 1995
- vertical blinds & traverse-rod draperies
With the exception of the first one on the list, all of these may also be ordered up to five times each. This means that you could technically get as many as 26 freebies but let's be honest, you most likely don't even need that many!
Once you check out, you will be asked to enter your mailing information but don't worry about the words "check out" as you won't be asked to enter any form of payment. The Basic Window Cord Safety guide is always worth checking out on the Window Coverings site as they clearly outline what to look for with regard to blinds and draperies in order to keep children safe.
Disclaimer: these window coverings may not stop cats from ruining your blinds. However, they will keep babies and kids safe! :D
