I saw this article a while back on Digg, a piece from the Chicago Tribune. It's titled "21 ways to get something for nothing" so I thought that I would let you guys know about it, as I'm sure you bargain-hunters are interested!
The article covers many points in getting something for nothing, including:
- Free ebooks @ Gutenberg.org
- "Free" vacations by trading homes using Couchsurfing or HomeExchange
- Get free cashback from online stores (Dealguild is the Canadian equivalent)
- 100,000 free searchable recipes on the likes of Allrecipes and Epicurious
- Free shipping from online stores (E.g. Dell.ca or Well.ca)
A few of the tips are more American-focused, such as the free tunes on Pandora, which are only accessible with a US address, but most freebies will apply to canucks as well. Enjoy!
