This Build and Grow Kid's Tool Kit comes with commonly used tools that are just the right size for little hands. It's $24.99 at Lowe's and while not on sale, it's still a great bargain. I know because we have it. And let me tell you, it's been put to great use.
The tool kit is recommended for kids' aged 7 and up, and it will make them feel all grown up.
It includes leather gloves, pencils, a pencil sharpener, 10-in ruler, an apron, safety glasses, 3/4-in clamps, slip-joint pliers, screwdrivers, 4-oz claw hammer, 5-ft tape measure, and of course, the tool box to keep everything together.
My son has used this set to help hang pictures in his room, help his dad measure out furniture in the house, and he even used it to make a bird house for the backyard (with adult help and supervision of course)! And he's 6. I think he carries the tape measure with him most places as well.
I know I would've loved it in pink when I was little.
