I've always been a reader, but I don't know if I've ever been more thankful for books. They truly are a lifesaver in this time without date nights, birthday parties and travel, and I have a feeling I'll be ordering a few more titles pretty soon – especially now that just about everything is marked down at Book Outlet!
They normally have some of the lowest prices you can find anywhere in Canada, but this deal is truly too good to resist. For a limited time, most titles are an extra 15% off! The discount won't apply to existing sale items, gift cards and certain book sets, and you're limited to 10 copies of each title – but that's it for exclusions.
Things like math workbooks, picture books and cookbooks are part of the sale, but I want to focus on fiction for a second. We all need an escape from this reality, even if it's for 20 minutes every night before bed. I'm adding House Swap and Tana French's Broken Harbor to my must-read list. And if you're a fan of suspense but not sure what to check out next, I can highly recommend The Last Mrs. Parrish by Liv Constantine.
For all you expecting mamas who are waiting this time (and your pregnancy) out, you might want to try your hand at The Big Fat Activity Book for Pregnant People. It's packed with quizzes, mazes, fill-in-the-blank questionnaires, journaling pages, word searches and lists of truly horrible baby names.
I never really got into adult colouring books, but I know many people are turning to them lately. And for all you literary dorks, I have the perfect one: Wit & Wisdom to Color & Display, a collection of pages all about Jane Austen and her work. It, along with other books, will shop free as part of a $45 order.
