**Bump: these boots have dropped in price again - now under $60!**
Town Shoes Canada is clearing out a few pairs of Bogs rain boots for women. I already mentioned the stellar deal on these Bogs Batik floral rain boots (Just $54 $45 on sale!) and I now have another deal for those of us who need insulated rain boots. The Tacoma Women's Insulated Rain Boots by Bogs (in black) are on sale from $120 down to just $71.98 $59.88. Join the Shoe Lovers Rewards club (free) for free shipping at Town Shoes on orders of 35 or more.
These boots differentiate themselves from boots like the Batik because they are insulated: they come with a comfort rating down to -15˚C. That means, that these boots can last you longer throughout the fall and into winter, and then again in early spring. These same boots currently cost $120 @ Bogs in black (though two other colours are on sale for $90 each). They also cost $140 at ShoeMe Canada.
Boots that you can wear more often and that keep your feet both warm and dry are a must own. These boots are 100% waterproof with a slip-resistant outsole and a 1/2" stacked heel. They have easy pull-on handles for getting your tall rain boots on and off. They also have a smooth rubber upper with a buckle detail on the back.
As for the warmth, these boots are made with 5mm Neo-Tech Lite insulation to handle the cold. The material also moves sweat away from your foot to keep you dry on the inside. These are pretty cool boots and you can read more about them on Bogs' website. One reviewer there said:
LOVE THESE BOOTS! I have been searching high and low for a pair of winter boots that were water proof, stylish, comfortable and warm that I could wear everyday and I finally found them! They are COMPLETELY water proof, super comfortable (has more arch support than I expected), easy on and off and very warm
There are a few criticisms though. While this reviewer says that the boots are easy on and off, others have had difficulty. The main complaint is on the calf circumference. These boots are designed for thinner calves. If you have chunkier calves, then this boot might be too tight or just not fit at all.
