It's time for the kids to go back to school and Audible wants you to send them there with a gift membership to access the biggest library of audio entertainment in the world.
Yes! Yes, yes, yes! I love Audible! A lot of the products that I talk about on Bargainmoose aren't things that I own. Audible though, oh do I ever own an Audible account. I've been an Audible subscriber since June 2009. I listen to it at the gym, I listen to it in the car, I listen to it while I'm mowing the lawn, I listen to it while I'm cooking. I listen to it whenever I can.
So what is Audible? Well, it's essentially audiobooks, but it's the BEST audiobooks around. The best readers, the best selection, just the best. On top of that they have audio newspapers, radio shows and other forms of audio entertainment. It's such an amazing value, too. You pay $23 USD per month for 2 credits. One credit generally equals one book. There are other plans that have one credit a month or no credits. Right now I'm on the no credits plan because, after 26 months of two credits a month, I have a lot of books piled up so I'm just listening to them again.
I generally only get the really long books because I feel like an eight hour book is a waste of a good credit. But even the short books, in truth, are worth it. Here's why: Audiobooks are expensive. I have about 60 audiobooks. If I had bought those outright it wold have cost me about $2070, but because I got them with credits I only paid $600, spread out over more than two years.
These gift memberships are fantastic. You've giving someone the gift of FREE audiobooks for 3, 6 or 12 months. You can't give a better gift, trust me.
