Kids Can Listen to Audible Books for FREE

If your kiddos need a break from looking at screens all the time, maybe they can just listen instead. Audible just launched a collection of FREE audiobooks specifically for little listeners, school-aged kids and teens that you can stream on your desktop, laptop, phone or tablet for as long as these social distancing protocols last.

"For as long as schools are closed, we're open," the announcement reads. "Starting today, kids everywhere can instantly stream an incredible collection of stories, including titles across six different languages, that will help them continue dreaming, learning and just being kids." And yes, those language include English and French.

For little listeners, there's stories like the Timeless Tales of Beatrix Potter, which I loved when I was younger. There's more than three hours of audio here, so you can break the collection up into individual bedtime stories or segments the kids can listen to while you need to get some work or laundry done.

I've never actually read Alice's Adventures in Wonderland (or watched any of the movies), but I'm a little intrigued to hear Scarlett Johansson read Lewis Carroll's classic. Hit the "Start Listening" button to dive in!
