Ancestry.ca are running a free access promotion starting Wednesday (today) through to Monday. In this promotion, you can get free access to select records for which you normally have to pay.
Here's a description of what this free access promotion entails:
We will be giving FREE ACCESS to over 40 million select Canadian records—Census, Immigration, Military and Vital (Birth, Marriage & Death) records. If you’re unfamiliar with FREE ACCESS it means we’re giving away a select few collections for free.
You would normally have to pay to access some of these collections. So this could be a perfect time to check out the service on Ancestry.ca, and give it a try for free.
I have a rather convoluted and complicated family tree (4 sisters, a half sister, 3 step sisters, a brother, 2 brothers in law - and that's just immediate family!). I've mentioned in the past that I have used the family tree maker tool on Ancestry.ca to try and start making a detailed record of the family history and genealogy. It's an easy tool to use, and I was able to easily save all the family details in an easy-to-read chart.
(Ends 2nd July 2012)
