I had an Ocean Wonders aquarium for my son when he was a baby, although I got mine as a shower gift. These aquariums come with a remote control, which was super handy. I was able to watch my favourite movie in the den just outside my son's bedroom, and anytime he started to fuss I could use the remote to start the music and lights back up for him.
What's really great about this is that you can put your baby in the crib and turn this on and it is not so stimulating that they'll get overexcited. In fact, son would watch this until he fell asleep, which made nap time so easy for me. This was a great tool for me to help him get to sleep without my assistance. I thought that was going to a difficult task but with this Fisher Price Ocean Wonders Aquarium, it really wasn't. This remote control aquarium was also a good thing to have when you needed to put away laundry or do something where you needed to keep baby in their crib (like sleep), as it kept them happy for a while, and they stayed safe in the crib.
It plays songs, the fish swims, there are bubbles and some lights. You can choose what mode you want to put it on, as I would say, based on if you want them to fall asleep or if you just want to keep them entertained.
I shopped around and found this for $50 or more at all the major stores like Walmart and such. Toys R Us does have this item for the same price, but you'll have to pay extra for shipping. Many moms say that they use this Fisher Price Ocean Wonders Aquarium for all of their kids and never have to replace it. I found mine lost a bit of the water after two years, but there was an easy YouTube tutorial that showed me how to fill it back up. It looks new again!
