Adventure Time is a great little animated series that has developed a cult-like following by kids and adults alike. Amazon Canada currently has Adventure Time: The Complete First Season on sale from $24.98 down to $13.49.
I did some price comparing with Walmart, which generally has pretty good prices. They had the complete first season priced at $19.97, so you are saving an additional $6.50 at Amazon Canada. As Amazon Canada has free shipping at $25, I would get two copies as this series makes a great and inexpensive gift idea.
Never heard of Adventure Time? I suggest doing a quick Youtube search to get a feel for the show. There are a couple complete episodes on there (though not too many) and you really get to understand how multi-layered the show is. It is not just for kids, there is an entire different level for adults. While the animation may be minimalist (and nothing fancy), it is a pretty awesome show. Here is what one reviewer had to say:
