I see investing in a few pieces of exercise equipment as wise, if you have some space. At the price of gym memberships, which cost minimum $50 a month these days, the money you put towards this elliptical instead of a gym membership will give you a piece of equipment you actually own in eight months worth of gym memberships, rather than a membership card. Not only that, you actually own the equipment so other people you know can use it: like your family. If you have a gym membership your family can't use it... generally frowned upon.
