Amazon Canada has a great deal on the game Knack for the Playstation 4. Originally $59.99, the game is now on sale for $28.23 and will receive free shipping as it costs over $25.
Now for a little price comparing. Knack for the PS4 costs $39.99 @ Future Shop, Best Buy and at EB Games and $59.98 @ Walmart.ca. You can buy the pre-owned versions at EB Games and Future Shop, but you are only saving another $5: the pre-owned versions cost $34.99. Amazon trumps all these companies with their new copies only $28.23 with free shipping.
So the reviews on this game are pretty mixed. If you are a hard-core gamer, then you might want to pass on this offering as the game controls are simple and it is not exactly the most challenging game out there. However, if you like a mix of old school gaming with modern graphics, if you like beating goblins to smithereens, and if you enjoy more simplistic controls, you might want to try this game. This game is mostly combat: Knack may be a pint-sized little thing but he can use his "powers to transform into a powerful brute or gigantic wrecking machine to defeat the onslaught of a goblin invasion."

This game is fun, whimsical and pleasant. I find this relaxing and quite enjoyable. Most of all, I can play it! This is not the tough game that it is made out to be. As a series of challenges sometimes I succeed and other times I fail; When I fail I just try and try again until I get it right. After 3 hours and one major boss fight I haven't yet hit a wall. It's classic gaming but with modern visuals, audio and controls. Accept the game on its own terms. I think that it's a proper game that is disarmingly innocent. And if kids can play a Mario game then Knack should be easy.
I think this would be a great game for kids or amateur gamers (like me) who do not need excess complexity to have fun. In fact, I vastly prefer a game with a smaller learning curve so I can just get in and have fun without getting my butt kicked too many times first.
For $11 cheaper than anyone else is selling the game for, I think Knack is a good buy from Amazon Canada right now.
