If you are a post secondary student living away from home in Canada and the US, you might want to check out Air Canada's student pass. The student pass is on sale until 12th September, 2011 for travel until the 30th June, 2011.
Starting at $156 per credit, the student pass buys you a 6 credit pass that will give you 6 one way flight deals. You also get free advance seat selection and accumulation of Aeroplan Miles.
The fine print:
Student Passes are non-refundable and are valid for travel until June 30, 2012. Available only to students 25 years of age or less with valid student identification card with picture from a registered Canadian or American educational institution. Student identification card must be carried during travel as it may be requested at any time during flight check-in or boarding. Flight credit bookings are subject to the attributes, availability, terms and conditions of the Tango fare option, and must be done online at least 21 days from date of travel. Change and cancellation fees may apply. Upgrades are not permitted and accumulation of Aeroplan Miles does not qualify for Air Canada Top-Tier Status. Other conditions and restrictions apply.
By paying up front, you can budget your travel expenses and not have to worry about the fluctuating airline prices.
