Air Canada has released a student program for post-secondary students only. Join the Air Canada Altitude Student's Program for up to 15% off a flight, one-hour of in-flight Wi-Fi access, exclusive vacation discounts, and more.
When you join the Altitude Program for students, you will receive 10% off one domestic flight or 15% off one international flight. That is the 'biggest' perk of the student program, but there are other features as well:
- Free one-hour in-flight Wi-Fi session
- Special rates on all-inclusive Air Canada Vacations package at the Tesoro Ixtapa, Mexico
- Save on packages offered by Air Canada Vacations
- Complimentary Air Canada Café goodies
- Pay your tuition with Aeroplan Miles
There are also cool travel prizes you can be entered to win as long as you are a) a student and b) enrol by November 6, 2015. Therefore, i recommend enrolling sooner rather than later. I love little programs like these and it is at these times that I wish I was still a student (these and the cheap internet).
To enrol, you will simply need your Student Number and an Aeroplan card. Your university will have issued you a student card with your student number on it and Aeroplan is free to join.
As I mentioned, you are eligible for cool contests once you are a member. Currently, Air Canada has a contest for
- a trip for two to Ixtapa, Mexico OR
- a Student Flight Pass
You need to be a member of the Altitude Student Program to be eligible for that contest.
Now, this promo is not 'indefinite' and neither is your registration. You’ll be an Altitude Students member from the time your registration is confirmed up until the end of the school year (until July 31). If you are still a student come August 1st, you can come back and register again as of that date. It is your responsibility to re-register each year that you are still a student.
Overall, this is a pretty cool program to join that is free and will at least save you money on your next domestic or international flight with Air Canada.
