Adidas has some great items on sale right now, including the Men’s Storm Parka. This all-weather jacket with a canvas outer layer is perfect to take you from fall to winter to spring. This jacket reminds me somewhat of a trench coat, but with a sportier feel to it in a khaki colour. It is currently available in sizes medium, large and extra-large. The coat looks roomy if you want to layer underneath and has several pockets. Unfortunately this parka does not have many details with it on Adidas’s website.
Over on Sportchek’s site the description states this is a coated canvas coat with a full teddy lining. I was unsure what a teddy lining is. I read a few other descriptions of various coats and hoodies that have a teddy lining, and it seems to mean in general a warm fleece lining which sounds cosy to me. I would probably use this jacket as a secondary coat for winter so I could wear a lighter shirt underneath, however several reviewers mentioned using it all winter long with no issues. With coated canvas on the outside and a full hood that includes snap lapels, you should stay nice and dry inside this coat. This looks like a great jacket for commuters and should take you easily through spring when it is wet and cold outside.
The only place I was able to find this jacket to price compare was Sportchek. They have this exact jacket listed on sale for $124. Considering a good jacket to beat the weather and rain generally runs at least $100-$150, I think this jacket is a great deal.
Reviews are looking decent overall, with four and a half stars out of five and twenty-one separate reviews. I see in the comments some buyers are noting that the cut runs larger. After reading all the reviews, I might consider buying down a size unless you are planning to layer a lot underneath. Here is one reviewer who is liking this jacket.
