Snuggle Bugz is having quite the sale, Diono car seats and travel products are 15% off & Ship Free on orders over $49!
Favorites my girls are using right now:
- Rainier - $365.49 reg $429.99
- Radian RXT - $339.99 reg $399.99
- Monterey XT Booster - $118.99 reg $139.99 (40 lb to 120 lb)
My smallest stays in her Rainier, no matter which vehicle she's traveling in. Diono's have a super light, steel alloy frame and aluminum reinforced sides, making them tough and easy to move between vehicles, so I can do that myself, using the SuperLATCH connectors. By turning into a high back booster, she'll only need this one seat from birth, until she is big enough to ride without a booster.
The height and weight limits vary, depending how you are using the seat:
- Rear-facing: 2.3-22.7 kg (5-50 lbs) up to 112 cm (44") in height
- Forward-facing: 10-29.5 kg (22-65 lbs) up to 144 cm ( 57") in 5-point harness
- Booster: from 23 to 54 kg (50-120 lbs)
My oldest started out in a Britax and we loved it. The shorter lifespan (always stay on top of the expiry dates) and bulkiness of the seat however, didn't work once her sister came along. It was a super comfy seat, but I always needed help installing, to make sure it was secure.
She's been in the RadianRXT, for 5 years and I can fit 3 seats side by side, when I need to. When there's just 2 car seats installed, an adult can still fit in between. Just like the Rainier design, it's an easy install for one person.
If you only need a booster at this point, we really like the Monterey XT. I personally think, the high back is extremely valuable and my daughter can see around the high back sides without a problem.
If you'll be traveling a lot or storing your seat, the Car Seat Travel Bagwill keep your seat protected, while out of your vehicle. This one is made specifically for Diono seats and is on sale for $50.99 from $59.99.
Rainier at least is still a little cheaper at Amazon. Too bad because I'd like to buy another one for the other vehicle but looking for an even better price
